RexWall Floating Homes - Series Product Line
Lifestyle in maritime ambience: Conventional house construction comes to its limits when building in maritime reas. RexWall material solutions offers the possibility for being uncompromisingly maritime.
Typ Berlin: The design of this RexWall houseboat draws the attention with its mix of elegant simplicity, combined with the dynamics of modern architecture.
The externally visible structure encloses the structural design of the houseboat like a white band to create the space. This band is filled to the sides with white and coloured cladding sheets. Large areas of glazing selectively interrupt the facade to draw the view to the water. Impressive views over the water stimulate the enthusiasm of the viewer. On the other hand, from the land the houseboat looks rather closed.
This side deliberately features less glazing to escape the gaze of curious pedestrians, but also to better blank out road noise. Only a narrow band of windows provide the side facing the shore with natural light. The clear practicality of the white facade, the dynamic shape and selected details from shipbuilding, such as the wooden boards on the sun deck or the ship's rail, to emphasise the maritime character of this houseboat. A unique relationship is created with the water and the environment with two covered terraces and a spacious sun deck.

Ideal, light-filled interior layout: The covered entrance area of the houseboat is located on the bottom level. From here you have access to all bedrooms and adjoining rooms as well as the bathrooms via a central corridor. A large bedroom with access to the lower terrace is located in the rear of the houseboat. A storage room for bicycles, garbage cans, etc. with access from outside is also located on the bottom level. The light-filled upper level features the living and dining area and with its large panoramic windows invites you to leisurely views over the water. Electrically operated outside blinds protect the living quarters against too much light when needed and provide the necessary shade on hot summer days. The modern kitchen is also located upstairs, as well as access to the covered balcony and the spacious deck. The wooden deck serves as a sun terrace and is surrounded by a ship's rail. It is protected by the partial extension of the facade against curious gazes and is covered partially.
